Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Body Practice a bodyweight only gym?
We truly believe that the path to self-mastery is a continuous pursuit of improving the understanding of the brain, mind, and body. While traditional training styles with weights and other tools certainly can be beneficial, they focus on moving an external object from point A to point B. In contrast, learning how to effectively take ownership of moving your own body through space offers countless benefits.
Can I still gain the same benefits from Bodyweight Training as from Strength Training?
Absolutely! Your muscles, bones, and connective tissue respond to load in the same way, whether it comes from external weights or your own body. By selecting the right exercise progressions and adjusting variables like tempo, sets, and reps, you can continue to progress and achieve your goals using a bodyweight-only approach.
What is Animal Flow?

Do I have to buy a membership at Body Practice to take classes?
We do plan on offering membership options in 2025, though for now you can simply purchase a drop in or 5-10 class pack.
Can I take just one of the classes, or do I need to participate in all of them?
While we encourage every student to explore all our class offerings, it’s not mandatory. We aim to educate our students on the importance of variability in training and hope they’ll embrace the Body Practice philosophy: “Be Fluid, Be Still, Be Strong.” Participating in each class can help you fully embody this philosophy, but you’re welcome to choose the classes that best fit your goals and interests.
